“If you’re set to do something, do it with Power, Grace, and Conviction. No hesitations. Do it with a full heart.”

Each time I press down my puncher, I get scared that I would hear someone screaming loudly, writhing in pain.

One Flag, Flaggy But One

If there’s a resolution to be made this 2012, it could only be this:

To be a man of action.

Once In A While

January 27, 2012

FYI, I did not eat alone. I dined with myself.

Note To Self

December 1, 2011

“Don’t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.” – Mark Victor Hansen

This should hopefully get me going. Overthinking, overanalyzing, and OC-ness on waiting for perfect moments has paralyzed me for quite a time now. They say the hardest part in doing any activity is starting/ re-starting. Well, I’m excited to prove the world and myself wrong.

Through timeless words, and priceless pictures
We’ll fly like birds, not of this earth

I’m so psyched in the most melodic, peaceful, outpour of love and musicality feeling. Earth is such a feel-good place when he sings about it. This will be one epic month’s end (or day before the month-end if you want to be real technical about it). Geez, Ace. Haha. :D

Then Not

October 11, 2011

It’s simple. Now you upload photos from both your phones and camera. Steal some from your sister. Tabulate all your movies and TV shows and watch them all. Do the same for your books. Keep inventory. Read. Read under the sunlight by the shade of a tree. Read some more. Get all your music organized, old and new. Blog regularly. Kick ass at tetris battle. Play some video games. Finish an RPG with 100+ hrs playing time. Skip rope regularly. Re-string both guitars. Finally finish that piece and record it masterfully with clean equipment. Re-learn the discipline of the classical. Master the blues. Sort your clothes. Upgrade your wardrobe. Dress to impress everyday. Make the beautiful girl fall in love with you.

All rosy and simple. Do-able.
There’s just one major obstacle: TIME.

In the current scheme of things, all the aforementioned are without deadlines. you’re not shackled in your seat forced to stare at your laptop for hours to earn your keep. You swim in a world where what’s prioritized are the critical and the urgent: flagged e-mails, endless deliverables, timelines, commitments, exceeding expectations, regular reports, releasing memos, and all other things which replaces whatever supposed free time you have to be the person you want to be.

There exists a law of impenetrability between all your tasks and skill-attainment activities. They cannot occupy the same time twice. You tend to settle and backslide without meaning to. You tend to prioritize the important, the forward-looking, the rational. You disregard the “mundane” and in turn, lose all sense of awesome. :o

Dots

October 9, 2011

The death of Steve Jobs has had me revisiting my own transcript of his Stanford commencement speech watched sometime ago. He spoke of staying hungry and staying foolish; on believing that the dots will connect sometime in the future so your actions today will mirror that of your heart’s desires. I recall watching it with fond earnestness as I anticipated making controlled career choices not knowing that I would instead be dealt with life decisions and seemingly insurmountable fragile situations with which to apply the statements with.

Believing in the dots as they connect one by one is not much of a challenge as you see a drawing in progress. The hard part is when the pencil drops and the dots stop connecting themselves.

To stay hungry and foolish is to gather yourself and continue the sketch. You have to brave the storm with a resolute heart and sound judgment. It’s quite funny that foolishness can be likened to soundness as both are clearly contradicting. However, it takes necessary foolishness to get back up the pedestal and teach yourself how it works again after it has cost you much. You re-learn because you either forcefully forgot about it in the past, or you really didn’t know how to do it in the first place. Whatever the case, you must know when it’s time to paint the picture.

Satori

There is a sense of comfort in understanding, in knowing how and why things are the way they are. In this venture however, what do we seek to satisfy? [park]

Let’s say an event is caused by the coming together of things. Things, though not limited to the world our senses could perceive at the moment. A mug is an event as there are particles of matter constantly moving to shape it the way it is. It is an event throughout its history starting out as a rock getting hammered by strong ocean waves carrying it ashore, blown by the wind, mined, thrown to the kiln.

Like a blue window reflecting the skyline. A sparrow on the window sill. Each thing a story.

All events laid out in front of us has certain properties. We are all thrown concrete pieces of information. Black and white. It is what it is.
The events which occurred before, after

What the chip of data e see, hear, . Feel however,

how we see. what we see.

feel. complicated.

differ. you don’ know which is which. is it the one a bigger percentage.?

You believe you understand yet you do not.

Conclusion: Our senses are faulty.

This was a weird draft I wrote a few weeks ago and yes, it explains a lot about life right now. Just struggling with the philosophical and greater purpose. The usual basic foundations, challenged. Lost, all over the place, and talking gibberish.

In Between Dreams

August 30, 2011

Somewhere between this post and the previous one lies a long railroad track traversing the countryside, a sea of green adorning vibrant yellow and gold, picturesque mountains pointing to the heavens, clouds plumping themselves up in rows clamoring for some of the attention which the incandescent illuminating sun is all getting, and a cow.

[I expect myself to post more often, with a few pictures]
